Microchip ATSHA204A-MAHDA-T - CryptoAuthentication Secure Element
The {mpn} is a Microchip CryptoAuthentication secure element: a dedicated SHA-256 authentication IC with 4.5 kb of EEPROM arranged in 16 slots, a hardware SHA-256 accelerator and a challenge-response protocol engine. Offloading key storage and authentication maths into tamper-resistant silicon lets an MCU verify consumables, accessories and board-to-board identity without ever exposing the secret in firmware. Package/interface: I2C interface, 8-pad UDFN (2 × 3 mm).
